Fancy yourself a Stan Lee or Scott Adams? The tool to make your comic strip delusions come true has just been released as a public beta. Bitstrips is an online tool/editor that allows you to create and share your own comic strip with friends and the Internet at large. Create your own strip or read those that others have created and follow the discussion in the forum. It's a lot more Dilbert than it is Spiderman, but I can really see having some fun with this one! Perhaps there will be a GBG comic strip in the not so distant future? Careful though, turning your co-workers into comic character in a public forum sounds like grounds for dismissal and not fame or fortune... you decide!

Marvel Comics puts classics online
In a move that is well past due, comic giant Marvel has made it's classic back catalog available online. Marvel will charge $4.99 per month on a one year membership subscription or $9.99 per month with out the years commitment. As news broke yesterday there must have been a flurry of hits, as the server seemed unreachable for a while, it's up this morning though and for a limited time you can view 250 titles for free. The look is nostalgic, don't expect any slick new images... it's like an e-version of that stack of comics in your closet as a child! Check out Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited.

A look deep inside Penny Arcade
If you are a gamer or are into comic strips then you've probably read an episode or two of Penny Arcade, the web comic about all things geeky, or perhaps dorky! Penny Arcade has been around the Internet for 8 years now and it's creators still pump out 3 episodes weekly, it's a huge success and Wired has an in depth article / interview with the brains behind the operation, Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins. It's a fun read.
