Princeton scientists bend light backwards

Scientists at Princeton University have created a new material from semiconductors that bends light in a direction opposite to the way it naturally does. I don't pretend to know anything about what these guys are doing here, but the thought of these so called metamaterials "raising the prospect that they might be used to create invisibility cloaks", is just cool! The CBC has more of the technical stuff here.
