I have been singing the praises of QR codes since I purchased my Android phone a couple of years back. Those who know me well will attest to the fact that I have business cards that I carry with simply a QR code printed on them along side my blog logo. Tom Clancy's EndWar, With Voice Command

G4's The Feed has posted the video below describing the voice command features of the up coming Tom Clancy's EndWar! The game, the latest in a very successful series of Tom Clancy titles from Ubisoft promises to be available in time for holiday gift giving and is available now for pre-order at the EndWar website. Check out the other impressive trailers there! EndWar plays on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. This game looks incredible, can't wait to enter the battle!

Teen Creates Trading Card Game With Chemistry Theme

Wired's geekdad brings us the story of 14 year old Anshul Samar who, with the help of $500 in seed money from the California Association of the Gifted, created a prototype two-player card combat game. "The goal of the game is to reduce the opponents electrons to zero through strategic use of each card's chemical properties." The deck has 121 cards each representing a chemical element, compound or catalyst. Impressive! Keep your eye out for Anshul, I have a feeling this is not the last we've heard of this young man. Board Game roundup, for geeks!

It's a well known fact that geeks like games, and not just video games! Wired has prepared a great list of 10 popular board games, just in time for last minute shopper for the geek on your list. You won't find Monopoly or Risk on this list and with titles like "The Settlers of Catan", "RoboRally", and "BattleLore" you might get some strange looks from the stock boy at Walmart! I'd suggest your local independent toy store or hobby shop!
