Well known adventurer Steve Fossett has not been heard from since Monday, when he failed to return from a solo flight which originated at an airstrip 80 miles (130 kilometers) southeast of Reno, Nevada. Friends and followers have turned to the Internet to aid in the search by setting up a Mechanical Turk project where volunteers can view recent satellite photos and search for the plane. Fossett made history near where I lived many years ago when his balloon crash landed near Sussex, New Brunswick.
